For my entire life, I have always heard that the Texas Flag was the only one in the Nation that could be flown at the same height as the American Flag. The thought was that Texas had once been the Republic of Texas, it’s own country. Apparently, according to Wikipedia all state flags can be flown at the same height as the US Flag. There are certain stipulations as to which one goes where. There are Texas Flag Codes that do stipulate that the Texas Flag are to be flown beneath the Texas Flag if they share the same flagpole or at the same height if they are on different flagpoles.
