Garland Independent School District is the second largest school district in Dallas County and the 12th largest district in the entire state. Serving the cities of Garland, Sachse, and Rowlett, Garland ISD is made up of 72 schools ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to High School.

With the majority of its campuses receiving “Exemplary” ratings by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Garland ISD offers many amenities to parents searching for a good education for their children. In the district, parents can select the school they would like to send their child to with GISD’s “Choice of School” program. GISD also has several magnet programs, allowing students the chance to study more specialized courses along with regular curriculum.
