A Crack In The Past

In August of 1967, during the construction of I-30 at the Dalrock Exit, the road collapsed. Sources say “the cave in was at the bottom of the hill, going west from Rockwall. The difference in height between the old road and the new was extreme and the slope was too steep.” As you can tell from the background, this happened before Lake Ray Hubbard existed. Thank you to the Rowlett/Sachse Scanner for bringing this to our attention! Does anybody remember any other crazy happenings in our area? We’d love to hear about it!
